EQUIPPING SUPERVISORS WITH 21ST CENTURY SKILLS
We’re proud to share that two members of the CIT team - James Bogue and Kyle Westjohn - recently completed the “Moving Forward as Leaders” training at Ivy Tech, a six month program that just recently concluded.
This cohort series, formerly known as MSI, has been endorsed by Ivy Tech employer partners for its proven impact on employee development.
Too often, strong technical employees are promoted into supervisory roles without the leadership training they need to succeed.
Moving Forward closes that gap.
Over 80 hours, participants learn how to:
Understand their own behavioral style and its impact on performance
Gain a big-picture perspective of business operations
Apply tools that increase productivity
Navigate HR law and its implications for decision-making
Confidently handle conflict, coaching, and motivation
Facilitate meetings for maximum results
Appreciate and leverage diversity in the workplace
Graduates are also eligible to apply for 3 credit hours toward Business or Industrial Technology programs at Ivy Tech.
We’re excited to see James and Kyle bring these skills back to CIT—helping us grow stronger leaders, better teams, and a brighter future. 💡
