RECRUITING SPECIALIST
Job Summary
The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for managing the full cycle of the recruitment process for designated departments or job functions. This role involves developing and executing strategic sourcing plans, screening and interviewing candidates, collaborating with hiring managers, and ensuring positive and equitable candidate experiences. This position includes supporting various human resources tasks when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains employment opportunities on various media outlets, including print, local schools, job boards, recruiters, internet, employee referrals, professional networks, and social media.
Partner with hiring managers to conduct intake meetings, fully understand departmental needs, and create clear, compelling, and accurate job descriptions and posting content.
Communicates confidential information to employment agencies regarding hiring, termination and rates of pay.
Conduct initial resume screening, behavioral-based phone screens, and in-depth interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
Conducts on-boarding activities for all employees, including new hire drug testing and completion of related forms.
Manage candidate communication and logistics throughout the process, ensuring a smooth, timely, and professional experience.
Consults and advises hiring managers, guiding them on best practices, market conditions, and interview/evaluation techniques.
Handle the candidate offer workflow, including presenting and negotiating salary, benefits, and employment terms, and drafting offer letters.
Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records, interview notes, and activity logs. Ensure recruitment practices comply with federal and state employment laws.
Track, analyze, and report on key recruitment metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Actively promote the company’s culture and value proposition at job fairs, campus recruiting events, and professional networking sites.
Participate in and lead ad-hoc recruiting projects aimed at enhancing the overall candidate experience, improving hiring efficiency, or training hiring managers.
Assist with company special events as needed.

Authority
Employees are required to follow procedures, work instructions and operational processes. All employees have the authority to stop production and contain nonconforming product. Significant quantities of nonconformances must be reported immediately to management.
This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or relevant work experience meeting the qualifications of the job description
3+ years of experience in Human Resources and full cycle recruiting or talent acquisition
Strong knowledge of current recruiting best practices, technology, and employment law
Ability to manage several projects at one time
Able to work independently on a project through its completion with minimum supervision
Proven ability to work independently, manage a high-volume workload, and prioritize competing demands effectively
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Working Conditions / Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise, fumes and airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may work with or around chemicals that create a hazardous exposure which is defined on the accessible Safety Data Sheets; employee is exposed to moderate temperature changes over an eight-hour shift.
