ALUMINUM TIG WELDER
Job Summary
We are looking for skilled Aluminum and TIG Welders who take pride in precision fabrication, weld quality, and craftsmanship. This position involves welding and assembling aluminum components and structures using GTAW (TIG) process in a manufacturing environment focused on quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented fabricators who understand fit-up, distortion control, weld appearance, and blueprint interpretation.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate aluminum TIG (GTAW) welding equipment
Weld aluminum components and assemblies to drawing, fixture, and WPS requirements
Perform welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions as required
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, work instructions, and fabrication drawings
Fit, align, clamp, and tack components prior to welding
Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring equipment such as calipers, squares, tape measures, fixtures, and gauges
Perform grinding, cleaning, and preparation of aluminum material prior to and after welding
Maintain weld quality standards with focus on appearance, penetration, distortion control, and dimensional accuracy
Inspect completed weldments for compliance with quality requirements
Document production activities and quality checks as required
Maintain welding equipment and report equipment or tooling issues
Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements
What We’re Looking For
Experience with aluminum TIG
Ability to produce clean, consistent welds on thin and thick aluminum material
Understanding of heat control, fit-up, and distortion management
Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols
Experience using fabrication and inspection tools including calipers, squares, and measuring devices
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and improve welding and fabrication skills
Qualifications
Experience in aluminum TIG welding is beneficial but willing to train the right candidate
AWS D1.2 experience preferred
Ability to pass company weld tests
Experience with aluminum fabrication is beneficial but not required
Familiarity with fixtures, jigs, blueprint reading/symbols and precision assemblies is a plus

This position works in a manufacturing and fabrication environment around welding equipment, moving machinery, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels. Proper PPE is required at all times.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various welding positions throughout the shift
Frequent use of hands and arms for welding, fitting, grinding, and material handling
